Shaun Hinton is based in the picturesque Port town of Felixstowe, Suffolk.
His artistic journey has deep roots in the comic books of the 1970s West Bromwich, where he worked as a paperboy and had access to a treasure trove of illustrated adventures. These early influences have shaped his quirky, fanciful style of art.
Despite receiving a less-than-stellar grade in Art at 15, (The big D) Shaun didn’t embark on his artistic path until my mid-50s. He says ‘For this, I owe immense gratitude to the Felixstowe Art Group and Rik Saggers, who inspired and empowered me to begin exhibiting my work across Suffolk’.
His primary mediums are watercolour and ink, and he specializes in capturing urban scenes. However, he’s not afraid to experiment with other mediums to achieve a different perspective.
